Oscar winning actors, Kevin Spacy and Samuel L. Jackson appear on the same screen again. Unlike their first unit, "A Time to Kill", they are the lead-stars this time.

Danny Roman(Jackson) is the best hostage negotiator in his police department. However, he has purposely been accused of a murder of his partner and stealing enormous amount of missing money from the disabled fund in his department. (,) Of course, he has been set up by someone. (which are set up by someone) Danny, unwillingly, takes hostages, and consequently, he starts to fight to prove (for proving) his innocence (innocent) in the hostage situation, which is totally opposite of what he has ever done (ever).For the purpose of proving finding the real killer, Danny demands Chris Sabian(Spacy) who works as a hostage negotiator in another area in Chicago. Then, their fabulous techniques in (on) a hostage situation are revealed with breath-taking speed.Surrounded by excellent supporting actors, including J.T.Walsh who has passed away recently, Spacy and Jackson act well and their performances exceed their reputation. Incredibly, the tension lasts for 139mins, and will hold your attention right until the end of the film. In addition, the storyline is well-organised so that the film is guaranteed to provide excitement as a suspence drama. As far as the director is concerned, he succeeds in directing the film without CG like other recent Hollywood Movies.I strongly believe that not only actors but also the movie itself should be nominated for Academy Awards. All in all, I have no hesitation in recommending "The NEGOTIATOR" as a Must-See film of this year.Teacher's comment=OK. -this is 100%better.
